Who we are
Three Stone Designs was founded on the belief that an exceptional building design should be accessible, safe, and seamlessly integrated with the technical requirements of Ontario Building Code.
We saw a gap in the industry where homeowners and small business owners were often caught between high-end design firms and basic drafting services. Three Stone Designs was created to bridge that gap, providing the sophisticated "opulence" of custom design with the "technical" mindset required to navigate complex municipal permits.
The "Three Stones" in our name represent the core pillars of our practice: Design, Detail and Compliance.
Main Principles
-
Design is where your project begins.
We believe that every building, regardless of size, deserves a thoughtful aesthetic and a functional layout.
The goal is to create spaces that are as beautiful as they are usable.
We listen to your ideas and translate them into professional design concepts.
Your project is personal, and our design process reflects that. We focus on natural light, spatial flow, and modern "opulence" to ensure your home or business reflects your personal style and functional needs.
-
In building design, the difference between a good project and a great one is in the details.
A beautiful design is only successful if it can be built accurately and efficiently.
The goal is to provide a "construction guide" that eliminates guesswork for your contractor.
We produce high-precision technical drawings. From the thickness of a wall to the specific placement of a structural beam, our "Detail" phase ensures that your project stays on budget and on schedule by preventing errors on the job site.
-
Even the most beautiful design is useless if it doesn't meet the law.
As a BCIN-Registered firm, we are experts in the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
The goal is to navigate the municipal "red tape" and secure your building permit.
We ensure every drawing meets rigorous safety, structural, and fire standards. We handle the zoning reviews and municipal applications, providing the “BCIN-Stamped Drawings” required to turn your vision into a legally approved reality.
